  • Monaco, 16 January 2004
  • TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
  • Since 1999, the IAAF has introduced a Certification System for Track Facilities,
    including track markings.
  • While the certification is only obligatory for international competitions,
it may present a desirable target standard for all good quality synthetic tracks.
  • Any measurement report which is required to get an IAAF Class 1. Track Facility
Certificate must be from a suitably qualified surveyor and should clearly indicate
that the figures attested are the result of a properly conducted physical survey.
  • This statement confirms that Eberhard Behr is known to us and has
substantial experience in surveying athletic tracks to IAAF Rules.
  • Yours sincerely,
  • Benoit Laruel
